Corey L. Pierce is the founder of the Pierce Law Corporation and practices in the areas of business litigation, personal injury defense, worker's compensation, employment and labor, administrative law, family law and social security. 


Prior to founding the Pierce Law Corporation, Mr. Pierce was the general counsel for a Maryland corporation specializing in mental health services and foster care services with offices in Maryland, Louisiana and California.  Mr. Pierce also maintained a solo practice where he litigated select matters ranging from business and contract, business development, property and real estate, worker's compensation defense, general tort actions and criminal defense.  Prior to his general counsel position, Mr. Pierce worked as an attorney at firms in both New Orleans and Shreveport, Louisiana, as well as the federal government in Dallas, Texas.  At each position he was an agressive litigator entrusted with difficult and complex litigation matters in various areas of law.  He has extensive trial experience in state, federal and administrative courts.  He is licensed to practice law in the states of Louisiana and Maryland.   


Due to Mr. Pierce's extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of foster care law, he was elected to the Board of the Maryland Association of Resources for Families and Youth (MARFY).  During his tenure, he served as the Board Vice President and Chair of several committees.  Mr. Pierce also worked closely with the state departments of Human Resources and Mental Health.  He was chosen by the Secretary of the Department of Human Resources to serve on the Advisory Committee, where he was elected as Co-Chair.   

Born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, Mr. Pierce earned a Juris Doctor degree from Louisiana State University's, Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1996.  Mr. Pierce earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Louisiana State University School of Business in 1993.
